Hammerson are the people behind some of the world's largest shopping centres. They're doing their job well when you've never heard of them — which is a problem when you're trying to attract the best talent.
Our brief was to create an employer brand campaign that raised Hammerson's profile and highlighted the incredible people, places, and opportunities on offer. The result: Hammerson:Life.
The centrepiece was a film showcasing the breadth of roles and locations — from Dublin to Birmingham's Bullring, central London to belle Paris. I storyboarded and art directed both the still photography and live-action shoots on location, alongside the production of supporting digital and print collateral.
Life at Hammerson is varied and never dull — and I lived it for nearly four months. We dug into all corners and found ourselves on rooftops harvesting honey as much as we were finding angles to shoot the sleek lines of the shopping malls themselves.
"On rooftops harvesting honey as much as finding angles for the shopping malls."
It's a project I'm proud of — lots of different partners working together, helping each other, coming together to make the best final product. Unfortunately, life got in the way: the pandemic set in-person shopping back somewhat just after the film launched.
